Adolescence, the transitional period between childhood and adulthood, is characterised by physical and psychological changes that can be awkward, but also exhilarating, as adolescents discover new and different experiences. A number of social and individual factors can negatively affect both academic performance and emotional health during this period, which concern parents and communities alike. Helping adolescents understand and balance these different areas may prevent, or reduce, situations that could create problems in their lives.

Under the private education system, the students have a sound academic background needed to become tomorrow’s leaders. We want to add to this system by facilitating a programme which will enable them to acquire crucial life skills. These set of skills will support their overall development and help them perform better academically. Our programme will enable young people to perform better at school, and improve their wellbeing by developing confidence, life skills and tolerance.

YBR programme is catering to private school students and is specifically designed to address the issues and concerns faced by adolescents and youth of this particular socio-economic background.

What we do
We work with children through fun interactive sessions to build their knowledge and develop positive practices on issues that are crucial for their overall development.

Who we are
YBR is made up of a group of individuals who are passionate about creating an equal and a non-violent environment for all. We believe these values should be instilled from an early age. Children can be guided to have a deeper understanding of these issues.

Humaira
Humaira is a development sector professional specialising in gender and life skills. Humaira works with one of the largest international NGOs where she developed a passion for working adolescents and youth development. She has always been an advocate of gender equality and developing life skills of adolescents and youth.

Farin
Farin is a trained education professional from the UK. A mother of two herself, Farin believes that life-skills education is a crucial part of a child’s overall growth and development. She has extensive experience working with young people in various schools and non-profit organisations in London. Farin has a degree in Education & English and holds a masters in Business Management. She is also qualified to work with students with Special Education Needs (SEN). Currently, she is working as an adjunct faculty in North South University teaching Business Communication and Entrepreneurship.
