Rajshahi Govt. City College 4.87

Rajshahi Govt. City College was started with 140 students in night shift in July 1958 . At the starting of college there was no building itself . The classes were held in Loknath high school .In 1963 both night and day shift were started for higher secondary section.In 1967 one acre land was taken beside the college . In 1968 there started social science department. In 1959 0.50 acres of land was bought by 18,000 TK. In 1969 the number of student became 3500.In 1973 there started honors class in Bangla .In 1999 Rajshahi Govt. City College library started with 400 books.
There is Bangla,English,Sociology,Physics ,Chemistry , Zoology,Botany, Psychology , computer science , accounting, business studies and so on departments .
There is Physics ,Chemistry , Zoology,Botany, Psychology and computer science laboratory .
There is also a student hostel , two student common room ,a national cadet core .
